What do you think of the program?
Very good.
A couple really good talks, more poor ones.
More English talks would be good.
Having all slides translated (English/Japanese) would help understanding.
The translations team do their best, but some complex subjects are difficult to understand with translations after the slide is up.
Excellent assortment of topics.
AWESOME
Every talk I went to was excellent. I really appreciated the simultaneous translation in IRC.
Great event. Would like to see more hands on sessions and sessions with deeper technical content too.
Good
Excellent!! It had the most welcoming atmosphere ever. What other conference have dra musume and all staffs waving hands at the end!!
Excellent. The talks were superb.
Excellent!
good mix of different content
Good. Most interesting sessions were in Japanese, but that's *my* problem for not speaking Japanese!
I was happy with the talks given, but I do wish that a few of the major talks were spread out over the three days -- I had to miss day one and watch talks via video (great job with the videos and posting them so quickly, though!), and many of the talks on the program that I was most interested in were on day one, and even at conflicting times.
good variety
Best Ruby Conference program I've been to.
Also the most technical Ruby Conference I've been to. I enjoyed the technical presentations very much.
Very good
Very good
It was great!
Very interesting. Good way to refresh own mind
it was ok, but some talks were not so high profile as I would expect.
mobile phone is not connected..
To tight. You need at least 5 minute breaks between the sessions. To many sessions in japanese and the translations on irc didn't function properly. Some nice ones though.
Very good talks. However, pure advertisers like NiftyCloud who gave a talk that is 100% advertising and nothing about Ruby should be banned.
Good
A bit overscheduled. Too many tracks to pick from.
What do you think of the place?
Good enough.
Good but inconvenient.
Good.
Excellent facility. Easy to find. Easy to get to.
Pretty cool. Everything was close.
I liked the conference center, but Tsukuba is a little out of the way.
Nice place, but a little far away from everything. Tokyo 2011 sounds great.
Good
There isn't much to do in Tsukuba. I think Tokyo is a better place for the Kaigi
Great venue. Tsukuba is not the most convenient location.
Hall was impressive good but I would prefer Tokyo
Very good.
The event center was great -- the halls are really nice and I saw no technical issues (except for wifi). Outside of the halls and rooms I liked how comfortable the space was: bright from lots of windows, comfortable seating areas to rest or to hack, nice park in the back to get some fresh air, and convenient to hotels and places to eat and drink.
Getting out to Tsukuba is a little less convenient than Tokyo I guess, but it was nice to see a different city in Japan, and it was cool that the Matsuri festival in Tsukuba coincided with RubyKaigi.
Tsukuba is a bit far from Tokyo, but still OK. Venue is nice and roomy.
Excellent venue, but far away from other tourist stuff to do for foreigners
so so
so so
Tsukuba seems like a decent place to have a conference, but it wasn't clear what there was to do in the evenings really.
Really cool
great
ok. no problem
Nice
No powerplugs in the conference halls. Wifi almost unusable.
Someone should tell Twitter ahead of time not to rate limit the wifi IP address.
Tsukuba is too far from Tokyo. Next time, if it is held there, I think I will stay in hotel at Tsukuba, even though I live in Tokyo.
Too far away from Tokyo.
Nice, but too far out from Tokyo or major cities.
What do you think of the RubyKaigi staff?
They are very kind for me.
Very polite.
Good.
Very helpful, very friendly.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were universally awesome.
Incredible job. Thank you very much for this amazing conference!
Great
The most helpful people I have ever seen. It's rare to see people helping each other so much in Japan.
Very helpful, professional, and accommodating.
The best!
Very kind. Specially the translator were very helpful.
Absolutely perfect.
Awesome. I can't give you all enough praise for a really well-organized conference with a good program, for such an affordable conference fee. As an English speaker only I think it's great for Ruby developers to have cross-cultural interactions at the conference to think in ways that they haven't before. Everyone else seemed very happy with the conference too, and that resulted in a great mood and spirit of attendees overall.
Very nice and helpful as usual :-) - Great work!
Extremely helpful and accommodating
Nice peeps
Nice peeps
Incredibly well organized and helpful.
Wonderful!
Best Guy's ever!
helpful
good!
Nice and friendly people.
Very well organized despite all volunteers. Good job!!!!
Excellent!
Excellent. Very helpful.
What do you think of the party?
good. I had a good time.
Didn't get a ticket
Really great
Ended too early. And WTF, no dance floor? ;) The food was very good. I took advantage of the open bar as well. I liked having beer out on tables.
Sorry, didn't go this year, hopefully next year.
Did not go
It should be longer
Fun! I wish it lasted longer though.
Very nice. Good food and drinks. Fun.
Too short :-)
Very nice.
The food was great and I had a good time. I would have liked to meet more people at the party that I hadn't talked to yet at the conference -- I think the game of "who you would like to meet" was an attempt to encourage exactly that, but I'm not sure if the experiment worked well :-)
Too short. The game didn't quite work...
I liked last year's signature game better, but it was still a great party
so so
so so
Perhaps it was just that i was very tired, but i did not get that much out of the party. Also it took me a very long time to get to the party because i had to go back to the Okura Frontier Hotel to get some things, while the festival was in full swing.
It was fun, and the food was very good
Need more alcohol, less food and more time
Very unhappy.
The party is too short. 5000yen and everyone is kicked out at 8:30pm. Many people cannot get tickets because it is sold out. But so much food is wasted at the end!
Could not attend
Lovely. More beer!
Will you come to the next RubyKaigi, if exists?
Not sure : 5
Yes. : 24
What do you expect for the next RubyKaigi, if exists?
To give a talk.
More of the same, hopefully more English talks and sessions
More of the same would be great. :)
Same like this time - good people, good content
Please do the simultaneous translation in IRC, and displayed on the stages, again. I would like to keep the talks all technical - I really liked that.
Hopefully more technical sessions. "An hour with the GC", "Inside the object model" etc.
To be a better speaker
To continue for 2012
It would be good for RubyKaigi to be held in Tokyo.
Please organize Ruby-Core pair programming session.
More english talks or at least a translation of more talks in parallel.
Staying in Tokyo would be great! Also, more sessions, so that there is always a session in English available.
I hope to see more Rubyists from the U.S. attend. Having experienced RubyKaigi now, I think I will try to communicate more with Japanese Rubyists before the next conference, and encourage other international attendees as well.
meet great people, hear what is going on in the ruby community, make more friends
I expect to submit a proposal for speaking at the next RubyKaigi

More awesomeness!
To exist!
more advanced topics
Well, Tokyo is a fantastic city. But I need to know that the majority of the sessions will be in English to be able to get something out of the program.
No more Tsukuba. Tokyo please :-)
Same stuff and better if possible
Not to be the last. Same as 2009 and 2010, just more rocking.
Miscellaneous. Any comments?
I like outlets and wifi.
Thank you for an delightful experience.
Organization was awesome. Thank you very very much. Arigato!
1) It'd be nice to have women's-cut tshirts. 2) This was my first time at RubyKaigi. I had a really fantastic time. Thank you very much to all the organizers. Having done small workshops before, I know how hard it must be to put on a large event. 3) Next year, you should make the "Foreigner's Guide to RubyKaigi" which tells people exactly what to do once they get off the plane. Example: "Once you get out of customs, turn right to change money. Then go to the second counter on the left in front of you and buy one ticket to "<kanji kanji kanji>"." Foreigners who haven't been before can show that to the ticket agent who will give them the right ticket. Etc. You could make it really easy for foreigners who haven't visited Japan before to come to RubyKaigi. 4) THANK YOU. This was a wonderful experience.
Bring english books next time if possible for the autograph sessions. Keep the RK T-shirt custom design opportunity, it rocks.

There is typo in question 10.
What do you thin of RubyKaigi 2010?
What do you think of RubyKaigi 2010?
Keep up the good work.
You were great, and Japan is fantastic. Thank you.
I'd like to see some of the long sessions like Vim Kaigi have more planning between a Japanese and English speaker before the session, so they're more approachable for people to walk into the middle of the long session and be able to better understand what's happening.
Rubykaigi was great!
Really enjoyed meeting new people. Especially Japanese!
You also should arrange coffee, tee and some things to eat in at least one of the breaks.
Need 5 minutes break for every session for people to walk from room to room.
Sell T-Shirts to all attendees if it really is the last RubyKaigi.
